Coach
What inspired you to become a coach?
Two things come to mind when I think about why I wanted to be a coach- first, is the positive impact Coach Wendy and Coach Rebecca hav had in my own personal CrossFit journey as an athlete. There was a time when I would scale all the workouts and had no desire to try any Rx scaling. Coach Wendy and Rebecca pulled me aside one day and told me that I was capable of Rx scaling. It was through their encouragement, guidance, and seeing the potential in me that has led me to become the athlete I am today. I see this potential in so many of our members and I would love to be a part of their CrossFit journey as they unlock new skills, set new personal records, and realize how capable they are of achieving more. Secondly, I would like to empower others- especially women- to show that we (as women) can accomplish anything with dedication and training. Contrary to how society views women, women can lift heavy things and do gymnastics (such as pull-ups etc).
What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
I was born in Saudi Arabia! Had it not been for the Gulf War, I would’ve still been living in Saudi Arabia.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out at Exhale Fitness?
Just consistently show up! Once you’re here, you have no choice but to throw down and do the workouts. I guarantee they will leave the gym feeling accomplished!
What’s your favorite thing about the Exhale Fitness community?
The PEOPLE (members and coaches). Exhale is my second home away from home. I love seeing members/friends daily, and I love seeing them accomplish things in the gym they would’ve never dreamed they could.
